Gorilla, Western Lowland Gorilla, (Gorilla gorilla gorilla).Hand of a male gorilla. Compared to other primates Gorilla hands are very broad and stocky and with a relatively short thumb. The palms are hairless. Like chimpanzees, they are four-legged knuckle-walker, i.e. on the ground they walk on hands and feet, where they rest with the back of the middle phalanxes...Gorilla, Westlicher Flachlandgorilla (Gorilla gorilla gorilla).Hand eines Gorilla-Mannes. Im Vergleich zu anderen Primaten sind Gorilla-Hände sehr breit und gedrungen und mit einem relativ kurzen Daumen. Die Handflächen sind unbehaart. Wie Schimpansen sind sie vierfüßge Knöchelgänger, d.h. auf dem Boden laufen sie auf Händen und Füßen, wobei sie sich mit der Rückseite der mittleren Fingerglieder abstützen. .
